Seabuckthorn can be found growing around many northern European coasts. It is a very prickly, hardy bush that can grow up to approximately 2 - 3 metres high. It is easy to spot by its bright orange berries.
At Bio2You we use proven, environmentally friendly harvesting processes.
We carefully prune alternate branches and then freeze them. This is similar to pruning and will not harm the bushes and makes them grow back even more vigorously. This method also makes it much easier to pick the berries, as they have very thin skins and tear easily unless frozen.

However some unscrupulous companies use the highly controversial method of using the berry picker method. This process involves mechanically cutting down the bushes to ground level and then stripping the berries from the branches.
This completely destroys the plants which are then casually and irresponsibly dumped around our coasts.
This can also have a catastrophic effect on our environment.
In addition to having incredible health benefits Seabuckthorn also performs a valuable function protecting our coast lines from tidal erosion.
Without the hardy, health giving SeaBuckthorn our coastlines could be eroded and destroyed.
